2011 Nissan Qashqai & Qashqai+2 Spec & Photos
Following the success of the 2010 Qashqai and Qashqai+2, Nissan has announced the 2011 specification updates for the popular crossover.
The MY11
Nissan Qashqai and
Nissan Qashqai+2 will receive a range of product updates including the introduction of new EURO 5 compliant engines. Other changes include upgraded trim levels, the introduction of Idle Stop on the 1.6 petrol and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) fitted as standard on all 1.5dCi engines.
Euro 5 Compliant Engines:
Starting from September 2010, all engines in the Qashqai and Qashqai+2 range will become EURO 5 compliant to meet EU legislation that comes into effect from 1st January 2011. The new models boast CO2 emissions of just 11g/km and an improved fuel consumption of 3.8mpg.
More Power, Better Economy:
Both the 1.6 petrol and the 1.5dCi engine will receive a number of improvements for 2011, boasting more power and better fuel economy.
The 1.6 petrol engine in the Qashqai and Qashqai+2 has been given more power and torque along with improvements in CO2 emissions and fuel economy. The revised engine will receive a +2PS power increase and +2nm torque increase, taking performance from 115PS to 117PS power and 156nm to 158nm torque. In addition, the 1.6 petrol engine will also be available with Idle Stop technology across all grades, placing the crossover in a lower VED band. Idle Stop will be available from November and is priced at £200.
In addition to changes to the 1.6 petrol engine, all 1.5dCi engines on the Qashqai and Qashqai+2 will boast diesel particulate filter (DPF) fitted as standard.
2011 Trim Upgrades:
The Acenta, Tekna and N-TEC will all receive upgrades for the 2011 model year.
The Acenta grade benefits from a new 2DIN single CD/6 speaker audio system which will replace the 6CD in-dash auto-changer. The new audio system increases connectivity capabilities including iPod interface, USB browsing and auxiliary input.
The Tekna trim on the Qashqai will come fitted with a space saver spare wheel instead of a puncture repair kit. Aluminium pedals - previously an N-TEC exclusive – will also come fitted as standard.
Finally, the popular N-TEC trim will undergo some changes to further boost its appeal. The MY11 N-TEC will see 18’’ black and silver finish alloy wheels now fitted as standard. An optional Chrome pack is also available for £250 which adds chrome fog lamp rings, chrome door handles, chrome side strips, chrome door sill strips, chrome tailgate entry guard and velour carpet mats.
New Launch Colour:
A new Gun Metallic body colour will be available from MY11 launch, replacing the Faded Denim colour which will stop in September. This new colour will be available across all grades and in combination with all interior trims.
Production dates for the new MY11 Qashqai and Qashqai+2 model start in September 2010 but customers can place orders from 3rd June. On the road prices for the new Nissan Qashqai 2011 start from £17,195 and £16,995 for the Qashqai+2.
